Wed Night - Parent Camp Meeting and Water Ball!

YW Camp PARENT Meeting
for all girls and one parent
Wed Night - 6:30pm in the YW room (before mutual)

Parents please feel free to ask any questions you have about camp. We will be going over some last minute things to help the girls prepare. We have 24 girls going and need everyone on the same page for things to run smoothly. We will be going over:

  • Packing (Everyone will be limited to a Rubbermaid tote (bedding and pillow MUST fit inside) and a school backpack.
  • Times and meeting places
  • What the girls need to bring (there will be extra packing lists if you misplaced yours)
  • Expectations
  • Drop off location and time to pick up your daughter at the end of camp
If you cannot make the meeting please contact Sister Renshaw

Girls, the 4th years ask that you come with your parents to practice the skit while they are in the meeting.

7PM @ the church
Wear your swimming suit or clothes that can get wet!
Bring a towel!

Thursday night - Meet at Renshaws at 6pm and please eat dinner before you come. Remeber that Thursday night they will be playing New Era battleship, so review your April, May and June issues. If you don't subscribe, you can read online at....

Please Bring to YC:
  • Sleeping bag & pillow
  • Swimming suit and towel (our community pool is open)
  • Hat and sun screen for service project
  • Casual & Sunday clothes (see the schedule)
  • Scriptures and Journal
  • Snack(s) and drinks to share (I or the stake will provide meals)
  • A few bucks if we go out for ice cream or taco bell
  • Ideas for our nightly activity

Thursday – Dress: Casual Registration/Games - each stake at their own building
6:30-8:30

9:00-10:15pm - ROCK THE DOCK -Kemah


Friday - Dress: Casual – WEAR YOUR YOUTH CONFERENCE T-SHIRT TODAY!
8:30 – 9:30 am. - Opening general session w/ speaker Jeff Bettinger
9:30 am. – 12:30 pm. - Workshops and Service Project
(*Split into 2 groups and then switch after lunch.)
12:30 – 1:00 pm. – lunch at stake center
1:00-4:00 – switch – workshops/service project (NEED HAT)
4-6pm. – Break (go to host homes)

Friday Evening
6:00 – 7:30pm. – Catered dinner (Sunday dress)
7:30 - 8:00pm. - Closing Session (Sunday dress) w/ speaker, President Giff Nielsen.
8:00 – 11:00 pm. – Dance (Sunday dress)

Saturday – (Sunday dress)
9:30 – 12:30 am. – Opening general session (chapel) w/ speaker Elizabeth Craig
and testimonies.
12:30-1:30 – Lunch and slideshow

1:30 – Break (Parents Pick up and youth return home for the afternoon)
We'll meet at Renshaws at 6:40 to carpool to the dance.

7:00 - 10:00 pm. – Themed, Casual Dance

YW PRE-CAMP CERT CAMPOUT

Ladies,

We are gearing up for our first big campout...prepare to have some FUN! We will be working on our skit, chants, learning new cooking techniques and just get to know the new girls Friday night. Saturday morning will be 1st aid, knots, 4th year certification and the 5-mile hike.

Meeting:
We will be leaving in a few shifts due to husbands getting off of work. Your driver will contact you and let you know what time they are leaving and where to meet (somewhere between 3:15 and 5pm). Most of you that live East of I-45 will be riding with Sister Cowley or Sister Slade. Most of you West of of I-45 will be riding with Sister Renshaw, Palmer and Cruz.


Things to bring

Food:
We will be supplying Dinner and Breakfast. We ask that you would bring a snack to share and a sack lunch for Saturday.
  • Snack to share
  • Drink if wanted (we will be providing water and OJ if you want something else to drink, bring it)
  • Water bottle for the hike
  • Sack Lunch for Saturday
  • Any other snack you would like
Supplies: *Please pack lightly (everything should fit in your school bag minus pillow, sleeping bag, and chair).
  • Permission Slip!!!!
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • 1 change of clothes and toiletries (no showers)
  • Good Shoes for Hiking (NO FLIPFLOPS!)
  • Sunscreen and bug spray
  • Flashlight
  • Poncho
  • CAMPING CHAIR
We are still looking for firewood, if you have some please let us know.
